Handrails and railings

Handrails and railings support a person moving around a room or up a staircase.

Handrails in the staircase area should always start before the first step and only end after the last step. In addition to straight handrails, there are also angled handrails. These have a 90 degree angle upwards or downwards. Corner handrails run around the corner of a room.
