The playing cards are either marked with braille markings or with tactile symbols (lines, circles) for players without braille skills. The markings are either embossed directly onto the cards or an embossed foil is stuck onto the face of the card. The direct embossing can be recognized by sighted players. In the version with adhesive foil, however, the cards are thicker.
