Special balls or equipment for ball sports can be used for sporting or therapeutic purposes.

Bell balls are easy for blind people to recognize due to their acoustic sound. So-called slow-motion balls come to rest more quickly, making them easier to recognize. There are baseball gloves for left-handed people or wheelchair-accessible table tennis tables.
