Description:
The eye control computer is connected to the Ecc control module via a USB cable. The wheelchair is connected directly to the Ecc control module using the 3.5 mm jack plugs.
The Ecc app monitors the command path from the eye to the wheelchair. This ensures a physical connection to the wheelchair without touching it. If a malfunction occurs in an emergency, the chair stops, just like when the joystick is released.
Only specially trained companies are allowed to install a new system. These are then certified by HomeBrace and the wheelchair manufacturer.
Examples of the monitoring function:
- The person in the wheelchair slips and the camera no longer detects an eye.
- The infrared radiation from sunlight overlaps the light from the camera.
- The PC (Windows) of the eye control hangs up.
- One of the plug connections is disconnected.
