Orthoses and prostheses

Orthoses and prostheses provide assurance and contribute to an independent lifestyle.

Orthoses act directly on the outside of the body. They are used to stabilise, relieve, immobilize or mobilise limbs or the torso, or to correct poor posture. They can also partially replace lost functions or prevent deformities.

Prostheses completely or partially replace missing or damaged body parts such as limbs, ears and nose as well as organs or organ parts. They create a functional balance and restore the visual appearance.
