Assistive Product PlexoMotion

As part of the "PlexoMotion" project, a project team at TH Köln is developing an actively controllable arm orthosis that can be individually adapted using modules. The aim is to facilitate rehabilitation, increase independence and reduce consequential damage.

The orthosis system uses sensors to detect and analyze body signals and derive movement intentions. With motor support, these can be translated into active movements of all arm segments. In addition, the user's movements and strength are to be evaluated and supported according to individual needs.

The transfer-oriented project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the "START-interaktiv: Interactive Technologies for Health and Quality of Life" funding measure until the end of March 2025. The focus of further development is on interaction and adaptability.
