Assistive Product Brain Robotics-Handprothese

Product Type:

Hand prosthesis with electromyographic sensors

Special Feature:

The hand prosthesis is able to intuitively react to and execute the gestures and actions intended by the wearer.

Note:
According to the manufacturer, the hand prosthesis is currently in the final development phase.

Description:

As the natural movements of the human hand are very complex, it is difficult to provide people with corresponding amputations with adequate assistive products. The BrainRobotics hand prosthesis was designed against the background that the known metal hooks or static prostheses have limited features, as do robotic prostheses that only offer the option of switching between predefined gestures. The AI prosthesis, which is very cost-effective in comparison, combines artificial intelligence with customizable programming. This new type of features is based on the residual limb sending muscle signals that are converted into prosthetic movements by electromyographic sensors.

Features / Components:

  • 10 freely movable joints
  • Thumb with active adduction, abduction, flexion and extension functions
  • 24 available gestures
  • Anti-slip design on the fingertips
  • Large capacity battery
  • Highly integrated wrist with manual rotation of 180 degrees
  • The app can be used on both iOS and Android platforms
